Solar Powered Arduino Board

Found a great post about Solar-Powered Arduino Board and going to test it myself.

Schematics:

Components we need:

  • Arduino Duemilanove
  • 12V solar panel
  • 1N4007 Diode
  • 25V 100uF Capacitor
  • 9V Rechargeable Battery
  • A breadboard and some wires
  • A multimeter

Arduino’s recommended input voltage is 7 – 12V (limits 6 -20V) so 9V battery fits well. All we have to do is to recharge battery using solar panel and link the Arduino board to the circuit.
